Long-term Program of Chinese Language
Program Description
This program is designed to train the students’ listening，speaking，reading and writing in Chinese 1anguage．It consists of classes of different 1evels and students are divided into different classes according to their current Chinese proficiency．Each class has 10—15 students．The program commences in each February and September．Classes are arranged five days a week，15 to 20 hours per week in total students who attend all the classes and pass the examinations can get a Certificate of Suzhou University of Science and Technology upon completion of the program．
Program Fees:
Tuition fee：RMB7000 per semester；
Registration fee：RMB400 per semester；
Books：about RMB100 per semester．
Application Procedure:
1．Applicants lodge their applications including RMB400 application fee with international office of Suzhou University of Science and Technology．
2．Suzhou University of Science and Technology makes the assessment of the applications and sends the qualified applicants the “W202 Form’’, “Letter of Admission’’ and the “Physical Examination Record of Foreigners’’.
3．Applicants go to Chinese embassy or consulate in their home country to obtain visa and make travel arrangements：
4．Applicants arrive and register as required in the "Letter of Admission". There is no closing date as the applications are processed throughout the year.
Accommodation:
1. Suzhou University of Science and Technology provides on-campus accommodation for oversees students (Single bed room, with air-conditioning, TV, Microwave, separate kitchen and wash room etc.). Accommodation fee：RMB50/day/person.
2. Off-campus accommodation can be found close to the university. Students can rent houses or apartments or find share accommodation. Rentals vary from RMB1000 to RMB2000 per month, depending on size, location , and number of bedrooms. Students who live off-campus should register with the university and the local police.
长期汉语进修班招生简章
课程介绍:
长期汉语进修班根据学生的汉语水平分为零起点、初级、中级和高级等四个层次，每班人数10—15人。开学时间为每年2月和9月。每周上课5天，15至20课时。开设的课程有：汉语读写、口语、听力、视听等必修课和汉字基础、汉语语法、HSK辅导、中国概况等选修课。凡认真上课、参加各门课的考试且成绩合格者，进修结束时可获得苏州科技学院结业证书。
学习费用:
学杂费：7000元／学期；注册费：400元／学期；
教材费：按照教材的定价收费，每学期约需100元；
申请程序:
l、希望参加长期汉语进修班的学生可向苏州科技学院国际处提出申请，索取《苏州科技学院外国留学生入学申请表》；
2、学生填写《苏州科技学院外国留学生入学申请表》后，寄回苏州科技学院国际处，同时邮寄入学申请费400元人民币；
3、学院给符合入学条件者寄发《外国留学生来华签证申请表》(简称《Jw202表》)、《外国人体格检查纪录》和《苏州科技学院留学生入学通知书》；
4、学生持《苏州科技学院留学生录取通知书》、《Jw202表》和《外国人体格检查纪录》到中国驻外大使馆或领事馆办理来华学习签证(x签证)；
5、学生按照《苏州科技学院入学通知书》要求到苏州科技学院国际处报到。
住宿情况：
1、校内住宿：苏州科技学院为留学生提供校内宿舍，宿舍设施：有空调、彩电，微波炉，网络接口，独立卫生间等；住宿费：每人每天50元。
2、校外住宿：留学生在办妥申请和审批手续后，可在校外租房住宿。
