On 9th May,the opening ceremony of 2016 Seminar on Urban Pollution Prevention Management for Developing Countries was held by our university in A2 lecture hall of School of Environmental Science and Engineering. The director of International Office, Ms. Wu Huifang hosted the ceremony.

Chen Yongping, President of Suzhou University of Science and Technology(SUST), Huangyong, Deputy Party Secretary of SUST, leaders from School of Environmental Science and Engineering and all the 24 participants from 9 countries attended the opening ceremony.

President Chen Yongping made a speech on behalf of our university. He introduced foreign aid programs and emphasized that SUST will make all efforts to organize the seminar , and wished the seminar a great success. The student WRIGHT, DURAN LIVINSTON from Jamaica delivered a speech on behalf of all students, expressing sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Commerce of P. R. China and SUST. He said he will cherish this opportunity and use what he will learn in the following days to better serve his country.The seminar is scheduled to last 21days from 5th May to 25th May, which is the 30th foreign aid programs sponsored by Ministry of Commerce of P. R. China and organized by our university.
