On November 7th, the closing ceremony of ‘2017 Training course on Urban Pollution Prevention for Developing Countries’ and ‘2017 Training Course on Environmental Protection Technology and Equipment for Developing Countries’, sponsored by Ministry of Commerce, hosted by Suzhou University of Science and Technology, was held in A2 lecture hall of School of Environmental Science and Engineering(SESE). 68 officers and technicians from 18 countries attended the closing ceremony.
Ms. Huang Yuning, vice department director of AIBO, MOFCOM; Ms. Zhao Yuhong, vice department director of Suzhou Bureau of Commerce; Professor Chen Yongping, president of Suzhou University of Science and Technology; Professor Li Yong, dean of School of Environmental Science and Engineering; all participants and other relative personnel attended the closing ceremony. The closing ceremony was hosted by Ms. Wu Huifang, Director of International Office.
Speeches were made by Professor Chen Yongping, on behalf of SUST to deliver his gratitude to the continuous support and attention from Ministry of Commerce and Suzhou Bureau of Commerce and his congratulations to the participants for their successful completion of these two training courses. Katherine, participant representative from Dominican Republic and Vijata from Suriname, delivered speeches to express their gratitude to Chinese government and to SUST for offering them this great opportunity to learn the technology and experience in the field of environmental engineering from China, and also expressed their willingness to apply what they’ve learned in China to helping their countries’ development and strengthening their friendship with China.
At last, Professor Chen Yongping and Ms. Huang Yuning presented the certificates to all participants.
During the training courses, School of Environmental Science and Engineering invited the leaders of Suzhou government and experts from both inside and outside of our university to give lectures on the subject of Urban Pollution Prevention and Environmental Protection Technology and Equipment. The training courses also included the introduction of Chinese language and Chinese economic development status-quo. Field trips were made to Beijing, Shanghai, Xiamen, etc..
These training courses are organized with devotion and attentiveness. They win the praise from both the Ministry of Commerce and the participants.
