Sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by Suzhou University of Science and Technology,  '2017 Training course on Urban Pollution Prevention for Developing Countries' and '2017 Training Course on Environmental Protection Technology and Equipment for Developing Countries' were held from Oct. 10th to Nov. 8th, 2017 in Suzhou, China. 69 officers and technicians from 18 countries took part in these two training courses. On Oct. 10th, the opening ceremony of these two training courses were held at A2 lecture hall of School of Environmental Science and Engineering.

Professor Cui Zhiming, Vice President of SUST; Professor Zhang Zhanen, party secretary of School of Science and Engineering; all participants and relative personnel attended the opening ceremonies. The opening ceremony was hosted by Ms. Wu Huifang, Director of International Office.

Speeches were made by Professor Cui Zhiming, on behalf of SUST and Professor Zhang Zhanen, on behalf of SESE, to deliver their welcome to the participants for their arrival. Srina, participant representative from Sri Lanka and Luis from Cost Rica, delivered speeches to express their gratitude to Chinese government and to SUST for offering such a great platform for the technicians in developing countries to get the opportunity to learn the technology and experience from China.
