On 19 April , a distinguished delegation from University of Chester, consisting of Phil Harris, Exeucutive Director of Business Research Institute, Jonathan Pritchard, Director of International Office, Garfield Southall, Associate Dean of Faculty of Science and Engineering and Russ Millhouse, Head of Secretariat and Student Support made a visit to Suzhou University of Science and Technology(SUST).
In the morning, Huang Yong,the deputy Party Secretary of SUST, Ms.Wu Huifang, the Director of International Office, Dong Yanmao, the Vice Dean of School of Chemical Biology and Materials Engeering, and Xing Fuming , the Vice Dean of Business School met with the delegation in Foreign Guest Reception Room. Huang Yong expressed his sincere welcome to all the delegates. The two sides introduced each other and signed a memorandum of understanding.
In the afternoon, the delegation made a visit to School of Chemical Biology and Materials Engeering and Business School, having further discussion of programs with mutual interest.
The University of Chester was founded as the UK's first purpose-built teacher training college in 1839 by local celebrities including Prime Ministers William Edward Gladstone and the 14th Earl of Derby.
