On September 25th, the opening ceremony of ‘2017 Master's Program in Environmental Engineering’, sponsored by Ministry of Commerce, hosted by Suzhou University of Science and Technology, was held in A2 lecture hall of School of Environmental Science and Engineering(SESE). 28 environmental officials and technicians from 9 countries attended the opening ceremony. 2017 Master's Program is the third two-year master’s program organized by our university.

Mr. Xu Kai, department director of AIBO, MOFCOM; Ms. Wu Jie, department director of Suzhou Bureau of Commerce; Professor Cui Zhiming, vice president of Suzhou University of Science and Technology; Professor Li Yong, dean of School of Environmental Science and Engineering; all students and other relative personnel attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was hosted by Ms. Wu Huifang, Director of International Office.

Speeches were made by Mr. Xu Kai, on behalf of MOFCOM, Professor Cui Zhiming, on behalf of SUST and Professor Li Yong, on behalf of SESE, to deliver their welcome to the international students for their arrival. Shamil, student representative, delivered a speech to express their gratitude to Chinese government and to SUST for offering such a great platform for the technicians in developing countries to get the opportunity to learn the technology and experience in the field of environmental engineering from China.

At last, the opening ceremony came to a close in the melodious school anthem.
